ABOUT Tanya

Tanya is a graduate of the Georgetown Transformational Leadership Coaching program and is an ICF Certified Coach. In addition to her coaching practice, Tanya recently retired as the Director of Athletics at the George Washington University, and has been serving in executive leadership functions for over 25 years. A lifelong coach and educator, Tanya will work with you and your organization to create an environment that fosters curiosity, courage, and exploration on a path that optimizes personal growth and high performance.  Rooted in her own experiences with executive coaching, Tanya recognizes the transformational power that a moment of pause can have on one's personal and professional development.  By creating the opportunity to slow down within the coaching space, she will work with you to accelerate your discovery process.

Tanya's Story

Tanya is a native New Yorker, raised in the Rochester area. She attended college at the George Washington University (GW), where she studied exercise science and psychology while playing Division 1 soccer for four years. Upon graduation, she began her coaching career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University before returning to be the head soccer coach at her alma mater. After 15 years of collegiate coaching, Vogel shifted into administration. She moved out to Flagstaff, Arizona and worked at Northern Arizona University and then returned to GW where she ultimately became the athletics director.  Her why is to help individuals and teams to discover and embrace the courage to become a better version of themselves in pursuit of fulfillment.

Tanya is a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan who lives in Washington, DC. As much as she loves all things DC, you will often find her in her happy place visiting her parents on the Cape, likely listening to the Dave Matthews Band!
